As the year draws to a close, it’s a natural time to pause and reflect. Here at Orbis Group, 2024 has been nothing short of transformative. It’s been a year of milestones, fresh beginnings, and a renewed focus on what truly - our people, our values, and our mission to shape the future of recruitment and consulting. So, please join us as we take a look back at an extraordinary year.
A new era
This year marked the official launch of Orbis Group, bringing together our specialised brands under one banner. While the change had been in the works for a while, 2024 has been all about making it real - ensuring our clients, candidates and partners benefit from the streamlined solutions, tailored expertise, and enhanced services that Orbis Group offers.
With Coex delivering consultancy services, Evolve leading the charge in life sciences talent solutions, OV Search specialising in executive and retained search, and OFS as our dedicated financial services brand, we’re positioned to meet the diverse and complex needs of modern recruitment. Whether you’ve engaged with us for a single project or multiple solutions, we hope you’ve felt the positive impact of this evolution.
The launch of OFS was particularly exciting. Financial services continue to evolve at pace, and OFS has been at the forefront of connecting exceptional talent with the innovative organisations shaping the sector’s future. It’s been a fun journey so far, and we’re only just beginning.
Content that matters
It’s not enough to react to change - we want to lead the conversation. This year, we’ve been proud to publish content that tackles critical topics, explores new ideas, and inspires positive change.
One of the highlights was our Neurodiversity in the Workplace Handbook, which provided actionable guidance for organisations looking to embrace and empower neurodiverse talent. Alongside our blog on the topic, it’s been fantastic to see how this work has encouraged businesses to rethink traditional hiring practices and explore the benefits of creating inclusive environments.
We didn’t stop there. We also published a D&I Tech Tools Guide, offering practical advice on the digital solutions that employers can use to bring about equity in the workplace. On the wellbeing front, our Mental Health at Work Whitepaper revealed strategies for creating healthier, happier workplaces: as vital as any business metric.
Leadership has also been a key theme throughout 2024. In a year of rapid change, we explored what’s next for leadership in Executive Leadership Trends for 2025, offering insights into how leaders can adapt to the evolving demands of their roles. We also looked at how executive search is transforming in a digital-first world, reflecting on the tools and strategies shaping the hunt for top-tier talent.
And of course, we couldn’t ignore the cutting-edge innovations driving change across industries. From our article on how to transition from tech to fintech to an in-depth exploration of Kubernetes in financial systems, we’ve provided some insight into an ever-changing industry. Whether you’re an individual exploring new opportunities or a business looking to stay ahead of the curve, we’re glad to have offered content that helps make sense of it all.
A year of action and impact
2024 wasn’t just about new brands and new ideas - it was about doing. We’re proud to have supported causes, hosted events, and driven initiatives that make a real difference.
One of the year’s standout moments was Coex becoming signatories of the Women in Defence Charter. This commitment aligns with our belief that representation and inclusion are essential in every sector, and it’s been a privilege to support greater gender equality in the defence industry.
We also hosted brilliant events, such as Data Product Management Events with Dunelm and Trainline, where it was great to bring together industry leaders and innovators to share insights, discuss best practices, and explore the evolving role of data in product development.
We can’t forget our Product Leaders podcast with amazing guests which has continued to thrive this year with a lineup of amazing guests. It’s been a joy to hear these stories and to see how they’ve inspired so many in their respective industries. We’re excited to keep these conversations going and bring even more incredible voices to the table next year.
Closer to home, we came together for the Great Orbis Bake Off, raising money for the mental health charity CALM. From questionable bakes to star-showing creations, it was a brilliant way to unite our team while contributing to a cause we deeply care about.
And then there’s the work we do day in and day out - making countless placements, building relationships, and connecting brilliant people with organisations where they can truly thrive.
Thank you!
Before we sign off, we want to say a huge thank you to everyone who’s been part of our story this year. Whether you’ve worked with us, followed our journey, or simply cheered us on from afar, your support means everything. Here’s to an incredible 2024 - and to even bigger and brighter things in 2025.
Cheers!
