We’re on a continuous path of development in our professional lives. Whether it’s working towards that promotion you’ve had in sight for the past few months, or upskilling yourself to be a leader - the majority of us are obsessed with improving ourselves.
As tech continues to advance, and AI dominates more and more of our day-to-day interactions, there’s a new area we now need to upskill in: Artificial Intelligence.
Traditional upskilling is what we’ve been used to for most of our working lives: improving our soft skills as individuals, being taught new processes, or being upskilled on the latest piece of tech. Although this is incredibly effective, AI upskilling looks at AI skills development in particular - equipping employees for the future, not just the present.
“Upskilling and reskilling employees in AI can help organizations stay ahead of the curve and position themselves for long-term success. By investing in AI-related skills development, organizations can ensure that their workforce is prepared to embrace emerging technologies and adapt to the changing landscape of work.” - ElephantAI
Along with learning about AI to stay ahead of the curve, there are also AI-powered learning platforms which enable you to enhance the teaching and learning experience. This means that stagnant and clunky training plans which rely heavily on a one-size-fits-all approach can be eliminated. Instead, intelligent, data-informed training plans can be created - personalising the experience for employer and employee.
For example, Sana Labs are a provider of AI-based learning, and its platform doesn’t just allow for personalised training, but it can also be used for onboarding, sales enablement, and leadership development. Sana Labs are one of many AI-powered learning platforms, harnessing the inevitable: that AI learning and upskilling will be a necessity, rather than an addition in the long term.
“By investing in their employees and equipping them with the skills needed to embrace AI technologies, organizations can ensure that they remain agile, innovative, and competitive in the digital age. It’s time for organizations to prioritize upskilling and reskilling as a strategic imperative to empower their employees and drive success in the era of AI.” - ElephantAI
Although using AI to upskill can still be considered fairly new, it wouldn’t be crazy to assume that this is how we will all learn and develop in the future. AI learning platforms have already proven their success, not only through personalisation features but also by being able to keep employees engaged. This, coupled with upskilling on actual AI will enable professionals to stay ahead of the curve and ensure that they don’t fall behind with the latest advances.
It’ll be interesting to see how AI-powered learning will impact the Talent Acquisition landscape: will it become a requirement to be skilled with using AI technology? Or will things catch on less quickly than currently predicted?
We’re excited to see what the future holds…
